  • -  原書不著輯刻人姓氏，按以書題與內容，所謂「經旨」，蓋指每詩之後，所解全詩大義；雙行接刻於每詩後。所謂「音釋」，指行間反切與直音，持與朱子詩集傳對讀，經旨音釋，全節朱說。按朱子作，音多用吳棫說，其孫鑑又為增損。大抵舊刻本多存反切，今本多改直音，而是書所摘取者則用直音多於舊本，用反切多於今本，確係過渡之書，必為明人所節錄，以備家塾童蒙誦習者。卷端載朱熹序，題為「新刊會通館校正音釋詩經序」，殊為不通。然因此欵;是書為刊於錫山華氏。攷天祿琳琅書目後編卷二，著錄毛詩四卷，未活字本，稱：「不依風雅頌分卷，祇列詩序經文。其小雅分什依集傳，是南未季年本。然家伯維宰，降予卿士之類，尚從古本」，按此本「經旨」採朱熹說，故不載詩序，已如上述。檢十月之交「家伯維宰」，維字粉去，不知原來何作，今已用墨筆改寫為冡。長發：「降予卿士」，予字已作于。天祿目因唐風內自字棋置諗佑為活字；此本自字不，棋必為翻刻時所改正。然全書俱存活字輪廓，若不詳諦審視，極易誤認為活字本，則文字雖有改正，其為從未活字本出無疑。華氏翻宋元刻本用活字，而翻未活字本反用木刻，自見此書，益佑其癖性。然則朱序所題義意，謂華氏會通館新刊本耳。朱熹（序）淳熙四年(1177).
