- - LC copy removed from the President's room in the U.S. Capitol by British Admiral George Cockburn on August 24, 1814, immediately prior to the British burning of the Capitol. Later purchased by A.S.W. Rosenbach and returned to the Library of Congress, January 6, 1940.
- - LC copy inscribed: Taken in President's room in the Capitol, at the destruction of that building by the British, on the capture of Washington, 24th August, 1814. [In a later hand:] By Admiral Cockburn & by him presented to his eldest brother Sir James Cockburn of Langton Bart. Governor of Bermuda. [In Dr. Rosenbach's hand:] And now, this sixth day of January 1940, after 126 years, restored to the Library of Congress, by A.S.W. Rosenbach.
