About this Item
Title
- Department of everything
Summary
- While defense spending increased over the last ten years to combat the threat from abroad, domestic spending, including non-defense spending at the Pentagon, has also increased to unsustainable levels. This report examines five areas of the Pentagon budget that have little to do with national security where taxpayer dollars could be saved and deficits reduced without impacting our national security. The recommendations outlined in this report could save as much as $67.9 billion or more over ten years without cutting any Army brigade combat teams, Navy combat ships, or Air Force fighter squadrons.
