- - Item was identified as a proof print of the 1975 September calendar page by comparing the print to two other copies from the same edition held by the Achenbach Foundation for Graphic Arts. Accession numbers are 1990.1.129 and 1975.1.144.
- - Exhibit caption (2014): Artist Homage. This striking portrait of iconic Mexican artist Frida Kahlo was created by leading Chicano artist Rupert García. Working with our curators, artists from San Francisco's Mission Gráfica and La Raza studios recently placed more than 1,000 prints and posters from the 1970s to 2010 in the Library's collections. With an entire division devoted to Hispanic studies, the Library of Congress collections are rich in collections and resources that reflect the importance of Latino creative and intellectual achievement in the U.S. and beyond.
