The film records a visit from Sigmund Freud's longtime friend Emanuel Löwy, an archeologist who was then teaching at the University of Vienna. Sitting at a table in the garden close to where the men talk are Martha Freud, her sister Minna Bernays, and American psychoanalyst Ruth Mack Brunswick. The film was made by Brunswick's husband, the composer Mark Brunswick.
