  • -  В Красноярске весной проходил праздник древонасаждения. Он начинал готовиться еще с марта. Жители намечали совместно с городской управой, где заложить новый сад или сквер. Многие деревья, например тополя, заказывали в Самаре и оттуда поездом доставляли в Красноярск. В посадке принимали участие гимназисты, школьники вместе с родителями и учителями. Праздник заканчивался концертами, лотереей. В 1899 году было решено произвести устройство скверов и посадку деревьев (тополей) на Покровской и Приютской площадках и продолжить посадку на набережной. При открытии скверов и садов устраивался молебен.
