  • The article presented here is from the rare books collection of the scientific library of Irkutsk State University. The collection provides information about the geology, climate, flora and fauna of different regions of the Russian Far East and about the lives of the peoples of these areas. Sibirskogo-Aliaskinskaia zheleznaia doroga (The Siberian-Alaskan Railroad) is a short publication discussing the possibility of a railroad connecting Siberia with North America via tunnel across the Bering Straits. The article, by Mining Engineer K. N. Tulʹchinskiĭ, is undated but appears to have been produced in around 1910.
