  • -  Dor ve-Dorshav, by Eliezer b. Benzion Efrati. Only the second part called אספת חכמים in the printed edition, a biographical dictionary of contemporary (19th cent.) rabbis and scholars. In the edition (Vilna 1889), only entries beginning with the letter aleph were printed. This manuscript includes entries for almost all the letters of the alphabet and the entries for the letter aleph include a few of the printed ones but mainly additional biographies. On ff. 36r-38r there are novellae on the Tosafot to tractate Yevamot 24b. At the end, in a different hand, an autobiography of Naphtali Levy, (Kolo, Poland, 1839-London, 1894) composed at the request of the editor of Dor ve-Dorshav. Several typewritten copies in various stages of editing and photocopies of the typewritten pages are found together with the manuscript.
