  • During the Korean War (1950-53), The Chinese People's Volunteers' Headquarters employed psychological warfare strategies to try to convince the soldiers of the other side to lay down their arms, surrender to the enemy, or to spread confusion and decrease morale. The flyers could either be dropped from airplanes in specially modified bomb casings, shot from heavy artillery on the ground, or by balloons.
