Summary
- A three-member board mediates disputes and disagreements submitted for review by the people involved. Complainants and respondents are interviewed by A.L. Alexander and the mediators. In this episode, the board considers a bitter dispute between woman, her husband, and her mother-in-law. The wife complains that her husband does not love her, and only married her to have a child so he could avoid being drafted. She claims that her mother-in-law controls her husband, and tells her two children that she is an unfit mother. She has met another man who wants to marry her and adopt her children. Her mother-in-law interrupts several times to disagree angrily. The husband claims to love his wife. He says she encouraged him to stay at his mother's house, so he did. However, one time he came home and found her with the other man. Initially he claims not to want a divorce, but then says he doesn't care.

- - The Court of human relations originated as a popular radio program, also created and moderated by A.L. Alexander. In one or two cases per episode, a panel of mediators, including clergymen, authors, judges, educators, and other notables give advice on interpersonal problems presented to them by actual people, called "complainants" and "respondents". The cases involve family and other personal disputes, marital entanglements, emotional problems, and financial disagreements. The show aired in the afternoon on NBC from June 22, 1959 to August 21, 1959.
