Summary
- A three-member board mediates disputes and disagreements submitted for review by the people involved. Complainants and respondents are interviewed by A.L. Alexander and the mediators. In this episode, the board considers the case of a seriously overweight man who wishes to postpone his marriage for a year while he loses the weight, and his fiancée, who does not. He feels that the first year of marriage will be a difficult adjustment, and he does not want to add another burden. She believes that if they are married, she will be able to help him. He says that other people have tried to help, but he believes that it is his responsibility. He will not be ready to marry until he is comfortable with himself.
