Summary
- Angelique, known as Angel, moves from France to the United States to marry American architect, John Smith. The newlyweds set up housekeeping in Los Angeles, California. She tries her best to be a good housewife but sometimes runs into problems as she learns English and adapts to her new life and culture. In this episode, Angel is determined to be a good American citizen. She wants to vote in the upcoming election, and is well-informed about the issues. Though disappointed to find that she is not yet eligible for citizenship, she volunteers her house as a local polling place. She works hard to make voting a pleasant experience, including upgrading the voting booths and providing refreshments. When Johnny comes home from his business trip, he is taken aback by the changes in his living room.
