Summary

  • Presented here is a collection of the correspondence from Noguchi Hideyo (1876-1928), a Japanese physician and bacteriologist who at the time was working at the Rockefeller Institute for Medical Research in New York, to Ishiguro Tadanori (1845-1941), a military doctor who came from the same village as Noguchi and built the foundations of the medical system of the Japanese army.
