- Sponsored by the Hispanic Division, leaders of the Peasant Movement of Papay (MPP) from Haiti gather for an oral history of this movment. The MPP has become one of the most effective environmental peasant movements in Haitian history, successfully fostering economic development, environmental protection and individual survival. Chavannes Jean-Baptiste is the featured speaker accompanied by leaders of the MPP. Each speaker is an expert on their topic and have contributed to the creation of the MPP. Presentations are given in Haitian Creole followed by English translation.
