Title
- One Place: Paul Kwilecki & Four Decades of Photographs from Decatur County, Georgia
Summary
- While Paul Kwilecki (1928-2009) ranks among the most important American documentary photographers of the twentieth century, he is also one of the least well-known. "One Place" is about the evolution of an artist and the life of a community in southwest Georgia. Paul Kwilecki's years of photographing and writing about the place where he lived produced a body of work that not only reflects a vision and understanding of Decatur County but reveals the cultural landscape of the deep South in America in the latter half of the 20th century.
