Brinkley's latest book is "The Wilderness Warrior," which focuses on the environmental achievements of Theodore Roosevelt. He also wrote the foreword to David A. Taylor's "Soul of a People: The WPA Writers' Project Uncovers Depression America" (2009). Brinkley lives in Texas.
