Summary
- In this nearly two hour interview, Harry Blackmun describes his final year as a Supreme Court justice and his decision to retire. Blackmun also touches on his relationships with former presidents, Nixon and Clinton. He reflects on his past writings as a justice and reaffirms that he doesn't have any major regrets about his opinions. Blackmun also addresses the death penalty, particularly in the Callins v. Collins case, and how his thinking has evolved over his career.
