- Harry A. Blackmun oral history interview. Session 8
Summary
- Harry Blackmun and Harold Koh speak candidly about some of the more controversial cases of Blackmun's career as a Supreme Court justice, covering cases of obscenity and equal rights, including his feeling on the Equal Rights Amendment. Blackmun shares how his thinking on the death penalty evolved between the Furman v. Georgia (1972) and the Callins v. Collins (1994) cases. He also details why he believes he was assigned the Roe v.
