- - Margaret George is the New York Times best-selling author of novels of biographical historical fiction, including "Elizabeth I"; "Helen of Troy"; "Mary, Called Magdalene"; "The Memoirs of Cleopatra"; "Mary Queen of Scotland and the Isles"; and "The Autobiography of Henry VIII." She also has co-written a children's book, "Lucille Lost." Most recently she published a two-book series about the ancient Roman emperor Nero: "The Confessions of Young Nero" and "The Splendor Before the Dark: A Novel of the Emperor Nero." These works were the culmination of more than 30 years of Nero fascination and research.
- - Philippa Gregory is a novelist who has been called "the queen of British historical fiction" by AudioFile magazine. Here book "The Other Boleyn Girl," winner of the Romantic Novel of the Year Award from the Romantic Novelists" Association," has twice been adapted into a film. Many of her novels are set during England's Tudor period, though she has written in other periods. A regular contributor to newspapers and magazines, with short stories, features and reviews, Gregory is also a frequent broadcaster, a regular contestant on Round Britain Quiz for BBC Radio 4 and the Tudor expert for Channel 4's Time Team. Her new novel is "Tidelands."
