  • -  Poet Sheila Black has written more than 40 books for children and young adults. She has also written four poetry collections, including "House of Bone" and "Love/Iraq." She was a 2000 U.S. co-winner of the Frost-Pellicer Frontera Prize and winner of a 2012 Witter Bynner Fellowship. She will be discussing her book "The Right Way to Be Crippled and Naked: The Fiction of Disability."
  • -  Ilya Kaminsky was born in Odessa, Ukraine, when it was part of the former Soviet Union. He came to the United States in 1993, when his family was granted asylum. Kaminsky's new book is "Deaf Republic: Poems." Of the poetry collection, Collum McCann of The New Republic said, "How is it that one poet can make the silence visible? How is that one poet can illustrate -- and enlighten -- our collective deafness?" Kaminsky's prior collection, "Dancing in Odessa," was named Best Book of the Year by Foreword magazine. His poems have been translated into more than 20 languages. Kaminsky currently holds the Bourne Chair in Poetry at the Georgia Institute of Technology.
