Summary

  • A musical comedy in which a French princess secretly trades places with her maid, and flees to Louisiana to avoid forced marriage to a Spanish nobleman. She and the group of women with her are captured by pirates but soon rescued by a band of hearty frontiersmen under the leadership of Capt. Warrington. Marietta and Warrington fall in love and, after other tribulations caused by an intervening uncle, are finally united.
