About this Item

Title

  • Saturday night fever

Summary

  • Once a week, after six full days of work in a Brooklyn paint store, Tony Manero douses himself with cologne, dons a floral bodyshirt, gabardine pants, and platform shoes and prepares himself for Saturday night fever and the disco scene. Through the influence of Stephanie, a born-and-bred Brooklynite who is shedding her origins for a more sophisticated lifestyle, and his brother, a disillusioned priest, the disco king begins to question the way he lives and the narrowness of his perspective.
