A handwritten list of selections keyed to the original two-sided tape is a related object for this data record; the same list was copied multiple times. The fieldworker’s notes for the recordings on side 1 (copied to call numbers AFC 1981/004: AFS 20561, AFS 20562, AFS 20563) include the following information: Recorded during the summer of 1972 on the occasion of the Schwarz family visit to their native village, Rode, in Transylvania (Romania), and other locations. Peformers and locations, keyed to the handwritten list, include: song numbers 1-12, at nephew Martin Schuller's home; 1-8: singer: Heidi Siewert; 9-12: singers: Heidi Siewert, Katharina Schuller, Sara Schwarz, piano: Martin Schuller. Numbers 13-21: at brother Johann Schuller's home. Number 22: at the Lutheran Church of Rode, singers: young women's choir. Numbers 23-28: in the back yard of a neighbor's house during a town picnic in Rode, musicians: Rode Jazz Musikanten. Numbers 22-24 written by Pastor Meltzer of the Lutheran Church, Rode.
