The position serves as a Senior Financial Management Specialist in the Travel Section (TO) of the Accounting Operations Division (AOO) in the Financial Services Directorate (FSD) at the Library of Congress. The position reports directly to a Supervisory Financial Management Specialist and is primarily responsible for supporting the TO.  The incumbent performs operational tasks and performs system administration functions for the associated travel systems that integrate information into the financial management system or external systems which support the program. Operational support tasks include approving transactions, conducting financial or program reviews, performing reconciliations, analyzing expenditures, preparing reports, and developing policies, procedures and training or other presentations associated with the program. The incumbent is responsible for implementing program related government-wide initiatives and serves as a technical expert for the program supported.
