The position serves as a network administrator within the IT Service Operations (ITSO) Directorate of the Office of Chief Information Officer (OCIO) and reports to supervisory Information Technology (IT) Specialist within the ITSO directorate. The incumbent is responsible for the planning assistance, engineering, developing, implementing, and/or maintaining the Library’s Local Area Networks (LAN), Wireless LANs (WLAN), Wide Area Networks (WAN), Virtual Private Networks (PVN), Multi Router Traffic Grapher (MRTG), IP Address Management (IPAM), Virtual routing and forwarding (VRF), Multi-protocol Label switching (MPLS), Software Defined Wan (SD-WAN), Firewalls, Load Balancers, Reverse Proxies, and Voice Over IP (VoIP) systems.  The incumbent is responsible for providing IT services across the hybrid hosting environments which include on premise, government operated cloud, vendor cloud and co-located vendor operated facilities as well as monitoring and providing oversight for the development and provisioning of enterprise systems and services that permit the deployment, storage and transmission of information supporting the Library’s Mission to internal and external audiences.
