This position is located in the Administrative Services Division, Office, Assistant Register and Dir Operations, Copyright Office.
Copyright is a form of protection provided by the laws of the United States (title 17, U. S. Code) to the authors of “original works of authorship,” including literary, dramatic, musical, artistic, and certain other intellectual works. This protection is available to both published and unpublished works. The United States Copyright Office, a service unit of the Library of Congress, administers the administration of Copyright Law, and provides Copyright registration and other services to the citizens of the United States and others concerned with American copyrights.
The Administrative Services Division (ASD), under the direction of the Chief, is that part of the Copyright Office, which provides various human resources, facilities support, physical security, purchasing support, and training services to the Copyright Office.
