The Materials Control and Analysis Division is responsible for the intake and initial processing of service requests and other requests arriving by mail, processing of fees, maintenance of deposit accounts. and out-processing of completed requests.

In-Processing staff creates the service request tracking record in the eCO system, scanning registration materials, marking, tagging, and forwarding deposits, placing scanned materials in temporary storage and forwarding unscanned materials for further processing.

The Out-Processing Section delivers in-processed service requests to their appropriate destinations. The section is responsible for resolving issues regarding unidentified receipts, incomplete filings and materials arriving in damaged condition. It responds to inquiries regarding in-process requests and locates in-process materials as needed for inter-divisional purposes. The section also manages the printing and preparation for mailing of certificates and outgoing correspondence.
