- - Head-and-shoulder-length portrait of two men. One in cap, center, holds an open score; one in left profile, wearing striped garment with back to viewer, plays recorder at right, both with eyes gazing downward. Beautifully rendered.

Translation of inscription from The Pipers exhibition list: "This is given as a token of enduring respect to his excellency Sebastiano Molin, Senator of Venice, a most learned cultivator of the fine arts." [described further as] "Engraving and etching by Johannes Cattini (Italian, 1725-?) after an original drawing by Giovanni Battista Piazzetta (Italian, 1682-1754). This is plate number IX of a set of fourteen large heads engraved by Cattini after Piazzetta."
