José André is a Bolivian-born, acclaimed jazz pianist and current Washington, DC resident whose playful and inspired composition bridge jazz, rock, blues, bossa nova, Latin American, and world music. At age14, he has performed in such local venues as the Kennedy Center Millennium Stage and the Blues Alley Club in Washington, DC, and has performed internationally on stages in Rome, Kuala Lumpur and Finland. He has also shared the stage with various notable artists including Grammy Award winners Marcus Miller and Renée Fleming. Hear some of his performances at jose-andre.com.
