Come join The Kitchen Sisters (Davia Nelson and Nikki Silva) in conversation with Academy Award-winning actor Frances McDormand for a special Live! At the Library evening presented by Librarian of Congress Carla Hayden. The Kitchen Sisters will join McDormand onstage for a special evening of stories and a behind-the-scenes look into the Kitchen Sisters’ archive and their work as audio documentarians and pioneering radio and podcast producers. The conversation will be followed by an audience Q&A.

The Library recently acquired the entire archive of The Kitchen Sisters — some 7,000 hours of interviews, oral histories, songs and field recordings along with photographs, notebooks, journals, shards of sound and research materials.
