Celebrate the 125th anniversary of the opening of the historic Thomas Jefferson Building with an evening of food, dancing, tours, and more at a  special Live! at the Library event. Visitors can enjoy pop-up exhibits, mini-tours, and access to some of the rarest spaces inside this historic building, as well as food and drink sales and fun activities. Architect of the Capitol staff will be on hand to share more about the building’s history, construction, and preservation. And stick around for a DJ dance party from 7–9 p.m. in the majestic Great Hall. Period dress is encouraged, but not required —but be sure to wear your dancing shoes.

The first 125 event attendees will have the opportunity to sign-up for tours of our rarest spaces, including the Poet Laureate’s office.

This event is free, but free-timed entry passes are required to enter the Library of Congress. Click the "Get Tickets" link above and select a timed-entry pass for your preferred entry time.
