Join the Library of Congress as we inaugurate Meg Medina, the eighth National Ambassador for Young People's Literature. The National Ambassador is charged with fostering a love of reading, writing and civic engagement among children, teens and families. Medina will serve a two-year term from 2023 to 2024.

The Librarian of Congress Carla Hayden will welcome and inaugurate Meg Medina, who will give remarks, share her platform “Cuéntame!: Let’s talk books”, and officially kick off her term.

The National Ambassador for Young People’s Literature is an initiative of the Library of Congress, in partnership with Every Child a Reader, with generous support from The Library of Congress James Madison Council, The Capital Group Companies Charitable Foundation and Dollar General Literacy Foundation. This event is co-sponsored by the Library’s Informal Learning Office.
