The year 2023 marks the 70th anniversary of the Korean Armistice Agreement. Across South Korea, the United States, and the world, national officials and local communities alike are coming together to commemorate the armistice in hope and solemn remembrance.

To celebrate this historical moment, the Korean Library Association and the Library of Congress are co-sponsoring a symposium reflecting on the past, present, and future of the U.S.-ROK alliance.

Please join us for a series of lectures exploring the human legacy of the “Forgotten War;” expressions of peace in poetry; and the vibrant role of the Korean American diaspora in U.S.- ROK relations, now and for years to come.
