Les Violons du Roy
with MILOŠ, classical guitar
Jonathan Cohen, music director
Les Violons du Roy—a treasure of Québec City since its founding in 1984—brings a bountiful “Baroquet” of music by bigwigs of the day. Under the direction of Jonathan Cohen, this exceptional ensemble has 36 recordings to its name and a reputation for its attention to detail across music from the Baroque through the 20th century. Les Violons du Roy is joining forces in this concert with phenomenal classical guitarist MILOŠ. With pluck and verve they will incorporate the guitar into the ensemble so that we may hear the music—some familiar, some less so—afresh.
Pre-concert Conversation with the Artists: 6:30 pm, Whittall Pavilion.
