Fantasy must-haves: great characters, expansive worlds, immersive moods. Graphic novels can get us there very effectively. But the main question is: will the story be a standalone or a series? Hear from Vera Brosgol (“Plane Jane and the Mermaid”) and Kazu Kibuishi (“Waverider,” finale of the “Amulet” series) on constructing fantastical worlds in stories told as graphic novels.
