What our leaders wrote and read may be more revealing than they know, according to these new nonfiction books. Carlos Lozada’s “The Washington Book” makes a case for the oft-derided modern political memoir, and Jeffrey Rosen’s “The Pursuit of Happiness” examines how classical philosophy influenced the founders and shaped the nation’s values. Moderated by Marianna Sotomayor. Note: Book signing before event.
