The Library of Congress Internships (LOCI) Program is an internship program in which the Library works with contractors to increase access to the Library’s guided learning experiences. The contractors supply the Library with paid interns. These opportunities are temporary in nature, and the interns work on projects across the Library.
The Library has entered into contracts with three vendors with demonstrated experience recruiting interns and administering national internship programs. These vendors are: HACU (Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities); INROADS, Inc.; and the Washington Center for Internships and Academic Seminars.
The Library typically recruits talent for the LOCI Program three sessions per year—in the spring, summer, and fall. These seasonal opportunities match interns with a wide range of opportunities available across the entire agency, fostering the interns’ academic and career development while contributing to the fulfillment of the Library’s mission.
