- Donald Martino (1931-2005) was an American composer. In 1976 he was commissioned by the Koussevitzky Music Foundation at the Library of Congress for the composition Fantasies and Impromptus for solo piano; the Music Division received a holograph score in 1981 (https://lccn.loc.gov/84758534). In 1983 he was commissioned by the Elizabeth Sprague Coolidge Foundation at the Library of Congress for the composition String Quartet to celebrate the Juilliard String Quartet's 20th anniversary as the Library's Quartet-in-Residence; the Music Division holds the holograph score (https://lccn.loc.gov/87754760). In 1996 Martino's second Koussevitzky Foundation commission was for the composition Serenata Concertante for octet; the Music Division received a fair copy and score with holograph annotations in 1999 (https://lccn.loc.gov/2007700596).
