  • Jeffrey Mumford (b. 1955) is an American composer. In 1987, he was commissioned by the McKim Fund in the Library of Congress for the composition The Focus of Blue Light for violin and piano. The Music Division received the holograph score in 1987 (https://lccn.loc.gov/87753260). In 2018, Mumford was commissioned by the Dina Koston and Roger Shapiro Fund for New Music for the composition "... amid still and floating depths" for string quartet. The Music Division received a signed and dedicated score with related electronic materials in 2018 (https://lccn.loc.gov/2018561012).
