  • Valerie Coleman (b. 1970) is an American flutist, composer, and arranger. In 2018 she was co-commissioned by the Dina Koston and Roger Shapiro Fund for New Music in the Library of Congress for a new instrumentation of the composition Phenomenal Woman. The world premiere of this version took place on June 1, 2019 in the Coolidge Auditorium performed by the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra.
