During the COVID-19 pandemic, Jacobs (creator and librettist) collaborated with composer Jorge Sosa and director Elena Araoz to produce Alice in the Pandemic, an online opera with the COVID-19 pandemic central to the plot and characters. Alice in the Pandemic premiered online October 22–27, 2020.
