Includes correspondence, interviews, legal files, financial records, printed matter, and other papers relating primarily to her involvement in organizations such as the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and the America First Committee; her sister, the actress Dorothy Gish; and lawsuits brought against Gish by producer Charles H. Duell, in the 1920s. Also includes a holograph testimonial written by the author Eugene O'Neill to his wife Carlotta.
