• Correspondence; minutes of meetings; reports; congressional voting cards with related correspondence; membership scrolls; administrative files; financial and legal records; personal papers; records of the World Woman's Party and of the Belmont-Paul Women's Equality National Monument, formerly the Sewall-Belmont House, the National Woman's Party (NWP) headquarter's in Washington, D.C.; newspaper clippings; scrapbooks; printed matter; digital audio and video files; databases; website files; posters; photographs and a carte de visite photograph album; and other records of the NWP. Primarily documents the organization's efforts to promote congressional passage of the nineteenth amendment to the Constitution guaranteeing women the right to vote and of the Equal Rights Amendment. Includes posters, photographs, and printed matter documenting the suffrage movement prior to the founding of the NWP.
• Subjects include legal, social, and economic status of women in the U.S. and around the world; attempts to promote jury service for women; the treatment of imprisoned suffragists; cooperative efforts with other women's organizations and with the international women's movement; and organizations including the Inter-American Commission of Women, International Woman Suffrage Alliance, National Council of Women of the United States, and the United Nations. Other subjects include the 1977 formation of the Woman's Party Corporation (WPC), a charitable arm focusing on NWP finances, and subsequent legal disputes between NWP and WPC.
• Records of the Belmont-Paul Women's Equality National Monument include historic preservation documents; files pertaining to the National Park Service and the 2016 transfer of the Sewall-Belmont House to the National Park Service as well as its administration of the national monument; documentation of museum holdings, exhibits, programs, and tours; and records pertaining to the party's Florence Bayard Hilles Library including card catalogs.
• Also includes papers of party members and officials such as Elizabeth Chittick, Jean Kane Foulke Du Pont, Barbara Good, Lucia Hanna Hadley, Fann Harding, Page Harrington, Jennifer Krafchik, Martha J. Langelan, Dora G. Ogle, Alice Paul, Anita Pollitzer, Sara Shriner, and Helen Hunt West. Shriner's papers include a collection of 1930s posters from the National Council for Prevention of War and the American Friends Service Committee.
• Scrapbooks include the Alva Belmont scrapbook collection documenting the women's suffrage movement starting in 1909 and the NWP from its beginnings to the 1930s.
• Printed matter includes issues of NWP publications, Equal Rights, National Woman's Party Bulletin, the Suffragist, and The Sewall-Belmont News; and U.S. Department of Labor booklets concerning women's labor issues.
