Inaga is a professor at the International Research Center for Japanese Studies in Kyoto, Japan. As a scholar-in-residence at the Kluge Center Inaga completed the third volume of his trilogy on the history of modern art in a cross-cultural context, titled, “The Limit of Painting: Eastern Tradition in Confrontation with the Western Experience.”
