The following programs are scheduled as part of the Center for the Book "Books & Beyond" author series. All programs are free and open to the public. No tickets are required.

February 13, 2002 (Wednesday) 6 p.m.
Mumford Room, Madison Building
Kathleen Thompson and Hilary Mac Austin, editors of Children of the Depression (Indiana University Press, 2001), a book of 162 black-and-white photos by Farm Security Administration photographers, will present an illustrated talk about their book. Co-sponsored with the Library's Prints and Photographs Division.

March 5, 2002 (Tuesday) 6 p.m.
Mumford Room, Madison Building
William B. Jones will discuss his new book, Classics Illustrated: A Cultural History (MacFarland, 2002). Co-sponsored with the Library's Serial and Government Publications Division.

March 19, 2002 (Tuesday) 6 p.m.
Montpelier Room, Madison Building
Akasha Gloria Hull, author of Soul Talk: The New Spirituality of African-American Women (Inner Traditions, 2001), will be joined by poets Lucille Clifton and Dolores Kendrick for a presentation about Soul Talk and the lives of African-American women writers. Co-sponsored with the Library's Poetry and Literature Office.
