FOLK SINGER AND SONGWRITER TOM PAXTON WILL PERFORM A FREE 9/11 TRIBUTE CONCERT AT THE LIBRARY OF CONGRESS ON TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 10, AT NOON, ON NEPTUNE PLAZA IN FRONT OF THE THOMAS JEFFERSON BUILDING LOCATED AT FIRST AND INDEPENDENCE S.E.
PAXTON HAS BEEN AN INTEGRAL PART OF THE FOLK MUSIC COMMUNITY SINCE THE EARLY 1960S, ENTERTAINING AUDIENCES OF ADULTS AND CHILDREN ALIKE WITH SONGS LIKE “RAMBLING BOY” AND “THE MARVELOUS TOY.”
HIS NEW WORK, TITLED “THE BRAVEST,” IS A TRIBUTE TO THE HEROES OF THE NEW YORK POLICE AND FIRE DEPARTMENTS WHO DIED ON SEPTEMBER 11, 2001.
