April 21, 2006 Special Library of Congress Hours on April 26

Because of a special event on Wednesday April 26, there will be restricted access to the Thomas Jefferson Building, Great Hall, and exhibitions. The west front Carriage Entrance, Great Hall and exhibition space of the Jefferson Building will be closed (except to those with previously scheduled building tours) between 6:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Wednesday, April 26. During those hours, the Carriage Entrance will be closed to public use except for previously scheduled private tour groups.
Public access to the Carriage Entrance, Great Hall and exhibitions will reopen at 1 p.m., when scheduled public tours will resume.
The Jefferson Building southeast door will be open only to staff and researchers from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. on April 26, and the northeast door may be used as an exit from 8:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. The tunnel leading from other Library buildings to the Jefferson Building will remain open to researchers and staff.
