January 11, 2010 Main Reading Room Early Closure Jan. 13

The Main Reading Room within the Thomas Jefferson building of the Library of Congress will close to the public at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, January 13. The Computer Catalog Center will close at 5 p.m. No visitors will be allowed in the Main Reading Room or Catalog Center after these times. All other Library of Congress reading rooms will operate as usual.

Researchers are invited to use the Local History & Genealogy Reading Room (LJ G42) as an alternate to the Main Reading Room on January 13. Books may be ordered from and will be delivered to this location. Staff will attempt to provide access to materials as normally as possible. Researchers should consult with reference staff and/or MRR Center Desk staff regarding research on January 13.

Normal access to the Main Reading Room and the Computer Catalog Center will resume on Thursday, January 14.
