Children in the Washington D.C. area are invited to a special program on June 3 at 10:30 a.m. in the Coolidge Auditorium of the Thomas Jefferson Building, Library of Congress, 10 First Street S.E.
"Let's Travel the World Through Books" is sponsored by the Library of Congress National Book Festival and the D.C. Public Library. The one-hour program will feature master storyteller Diane Macklin, music by the Elise Whitlow Stokes Community Freedom Public Charter School Student band, and special guest National Football League linebacker Chris Draft.
The event is designed to promote a summer reading theme of "One World, Many Stories," and is free and open to the public. No tickets are required. Doors open at 10 a.m.
