September 28, 2015 Advisory: In Event of Federal Shutdown

In the event of a temporary shutdown of the federal government, beginning Thursday, October 1, all Library of Congress buildings will be closed to the public and researchers.

All public events will be cancelled. Websites will be accessible but certain functions requiring processing by staff on site would be delayed until the government reopens.
